I meant to reply to this part too.

We also have the abilities to teach and learn.  So even if some
brilliant engineer, artist, scientist etc. passes away, there will
always be someone who tries to pick up the slack.  Individuals are
more than flesh.  Beneath the flesh are ideas, Mr. Samukha, and ideas
are bulletproof ;)
