can't think of a way to do it.

How would you implement something like std.conv.text in C++? The D version is

trivial: 5 lines and easily understandable.

If it's as ugly as I'm imagining it is, this is a good example for a pretty big improvement. (Though I still believe the sum of the little improvements are

greater than any of the big ones!)
