After a year and a half (

have to
remind
Walter and Co. about this enhancement request. :) This is
becoming
increasingly important not just to me, but to the D
community in
general.
Think about, for an example, the Tizen platform (

) , C++ namespace support would considerably help us
develop an
environment where D programmers could easily develop
native
applications for the Tizen platform.
Speaking about Tizen, I humbly believe Tizen will soon
become one of
the major players in the mobile application world, and
having ability
to develop Tizen apps using D is beneficial to all of us.
Kind regards

Tizen is dead.

Fortunately, it is not true :). Tizen development is more
active than
ever.
So which handset can I buy from Samsung with it on?
"Not ready for enormous investment quite as early as hoped" is
different
from "dead".
Anyone with experience on enterprise projects knows how "Not
ready for enormous investment quite as early as hoped" from
management usually ends.

Yes, but from samsung managment, but on tizen sites play more
than one player. So I think Tizen IVI will survive and maybe we
will see some TV with tizen and other devices. On handset market
it is maybe quiet late, because there is some other players
(jolla, Firefox OS), but who knows.
