Thanks for answer Jeremie.  Understood .. admittedly the D2 compiler download 
does say alpha.  Is there any hint of a draft though or is it a fast moving 
target?  Either way what's the best way to track where it's at?

You will then need to select a framework to work with.  You can pick 
either Phobos  or Tango.  I suggest you read (including books) as much 
as possible before you make your choice.
