Sounds like an interesting project. Maybe someone else will create a generic source-to-source compiler kit for various languages.
Run the tool on the .Net compiler and on the tool itself. Then we'll have a .Net compiler and a tool to convert C# to D code, written in D :D
This somehow reminds me of "Gnu's not unix".
