Yah, as I said that's pretty much it. You need to encapsulate special
stuff in macros, which is all uniform and simple.


You know what drives me nuts about this? Ddoc's design has an elegant

The ESCAPES thing. It is right there... been there for years... but not
actually used. And now I think we're stuck with this nonsense since
there's real world code that uses the html passthrough "feature".
