It has been said in the past that having semicolons makes parsing easier. I don't know how true this is, but Walter said it, so it probably is pretty important.

You also forget about statements that span multiple lines, functions with 15 args are much easier to read when they are separated into multiple lines IMO.

To all those guys who want no semicolons: get over it. Use another language if you don't want semicolons. There are some out there. D isn't going to to change one of it's most fundamental constructs because it's "less typing".
