Andrei/Walter currently are. I can think of a few D core contributors
off the top of my head that seem to possess good leadership qualities
and seem to go out of their way to make sure things get done.
Yah, that aspect is less understood than it should. Say Herb Sutter
would join the fray under an alias and started doing great things - I
trust myself and Walter enough to think he'd be quickly recognized and
"promoted". There definitely is room in the top ranks for one or more
