Chrome can report that a download might be malicious if it's an
".exe", a ".rpm", a ".deb", etc. , as an automatic mecanism, i.e
this has nothing to do with the antivirus.
From your message I understand that you talk about the chrome
warning, not an AV detection so please be accurate.
Chrome ? Signature of a particular threat ? heuristic ? What ?
