In Linux, using a distribution, you have a pretty good change that dynamic libraries are used by more than one program. And there is typeinfo/template bloat too to analyze in the executables bloat, it's not just static vs dynamic linking (even when that would be a big step forward smaller binaries). > >And when it comes to embedded systems, size *do* matter. > > I know.
