Aye, but I didn't download that one, I got the one on the top here: https://code.google.com/p/msysgit/downloads/list?can=3 And if I put git.exe in it's own directory the only .dll it complains about is libiconv2.dll (well that, and some missing templates). Using these two alone seems to work fine.
