I use a light-on-dark color scheme. Partly because I like the way it looks, but also partly because it's easier on my eyes. If I were using a scheme with blazing-white everywhere, I can imagine a CRT might be a bit harsh. > Anyway.. how about that Git thing, then? :D I'd been holding on to SVN for a while, but that discussion did convince me to give DVCSes an honest try (haven't gotten around to it yet though, but plan to).
