I don't trust DIP11 to produce anything stable. We already have a half-broken compiler, and now we're going to have a half-broken build system to go along with it? No way.
I'd rather it be an external tool (built with D so we can actually hack on it), that can be *downloaded from anywhere*, without having to rely on dmars.com (which is painfully slow), and being encumbered by licensing issues (you can't distribute DMD).
