I think the future will see an increase of local servers which intelligently allocate resources to transport-friendly modular clients devices in both homes and businesses.
People and, more importantly, professionals will always want the
most power they can get to do their work. Whether that power
remains on the client system or is off-set to the home/office
server or cloud is the big question.
