Those people using Emacs and D Mode, are you using a downloaded copy of a release tarball/zip or are you working with a clone of the mainline Git repository https://github.com/Emacs-D-Mode-Maintainers/Emacs-D-Mode If the former then the maintainers need to set up an efficient release and distribution mechanism, if the latter then we can assume a continuous deployment and not worry about releases.
