I have ben trying, with not too much success, to install and get OLIVIA
running on my radio control computer
which runs W98, and has proven sufficient to run most every other
programs including ALE.
I downloaded the program from Jason Buchanan's (N1SU) website
http://n1su.us/olivia/ and followed the instructions about installing
not looking to see if it would work with W98 (natch,
Aerospace/Electronic engineers dont need no steenking instructions
we know it all---yeh riiiiiiight--hi)
After I got the thing half installed, I discovered that it wouldn't
write to the registry.... OK, no problem, I forged ahead, and continued.
Anyhow, when I went to try and see if the thing would work, I got a
lockup on transmit to my interface unit, and the
com port would not go low into recieve. I installed the proper files
as needed in my C;.Windows/System32 directory
as described....
Then, I read the directions --hi---
LO and behold, there it was, in plain english, saying that this program
wouldnt work in windows 98. Anyhow,
I need some assistance in finding a program that will work on OLIVIA
with W98. Can anyone help??
