Hi Jim;
I too have the Rigblaster Pro and am using an FT-857 for Echolink
and digi modes as well. I am using a headphone and mic combo for
Echolink. The ports on my machine I have it plugged into are Line
out on sound card for the headphone audio. Mind you there also is a
plug in there aready going to the Pro. I just picked up at Radio
shack a jack that allows me to put two plugs into one jack..anyway
the mic is also pluged into the sound card. It is in the pink mic
jack.
Try going to the echolink test server again. This time before you
run a test go to Tools-Adjust volume-recording. In there I have my
mic box checked and the slider is about 2 notches from the top. I
have an advanced box option as well. If you do click on it and I
have the Boost option checked as well.
You could just be having Mic troubles as well..have you tried
another mic to see how it works ?? Anyway I hope the above helped
you, do let me know.
Mike
