I would caution anyone from trying to set up a dual boot system. I had done this a number of times and had pretty good luck but also have had one case where I managed somehow to damage the MBR (Master Boot Record) with the Linux install and had to totally redo the drive from scratch. The best way is to have a dedicated system.
