Hi John, Like you, I've been so much happier participating in the Digitalradio group since I put a few senders in my "trash bin" filter! The only way I ever see them is if someone else responds to them and resends their post. In that case, I sometimes have to block the subject line. But alas, if you read it on the web portal, you can only filter it by not clicking on messages sent by the individual. I continue to participate in Digitalradio because it is one of the few places to communicate live with a large community of operators on the forefront of digital ham radio. As for kicking the noise out... once a group of more than 1000 members gets out of control, it can be difficult for the moderator to re-gain control. Fortunately, Yahoo has provided some surgical tools for the moderators: 1. banning an individual 2. full-moderating an individual The best solution is full-moderating them. But full-moderation is a big commitment in moderator time. Every message the moderated individual sends must be screened by a moderator before it is allowed to be posted to the group. The entire group can also be put on moderation.... With more than 2000 members, and a message load of 100 messages per week or more, that usually requires several enthusiastic 24/7 volunteer moderators and some good ground rules for them to function. There are very few fully-moderated large ham radio groups. Bonnie KQ6XA Need a Digital mode QSO?
