From time to time you will see some comments on the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] reflector by those who are working in
interoperability of Winlink 2000 with other systems. The ARRL board of
directors policy is that their developing network be enhanced as new
technologies are able to interoperate.

While Winlink 2000 does not currently use the full power of amateur
radio, they are also working toward modifying the program in the future
so that even if the internet fails, Winlink 2000 will still be able to
operate via RF. There may be other programs that will provide this
capability as well. JNOS2 has some potential with being able to operate
without a central server system and yet operate through both RF and wire
line paths.
