Don't know if there any of the windows audio programs may have something similar, but the Linux users out there may or may not be aware of one of the features of XMMS, which is usually used for playing MP3, OGG or other audio files...
XMMS will play tones by using a url of tone://(frequency), so if you want a 1000 Hz tone, just do xmms tone://1000 For the GUI-inclined, just bring up XMMS, and open location tone://(frequency) Don wrote: > Some might find this a useful tool, To add to our collection, Just > Remember Enhance the Communications Hobby don't abuse the ability of a > program like this to Cause Problems, For Test purpose Only, A Free > Version is available > http://www.comtekk.us/tone-generator.htm Need a Digital mode QSO?
