Interesting question Rick, I was disappointed. My first goal was to demo the digitalmodes to the FD participant's, most had not even seen PSK. I showed them PSk31, RTTY, Throb, ALE, Olivia, and Hell and DominioEX. After the demo there was a lull in their mainly SSB operations and I attempted to have live FD QSOs on various digital modes. The experimental digital operators were nowhere to be found. I saw NO ONE using Throb, Olivia, DominoEx, or Hell in Field Day. I called CQ several time using these modes and had zero responses. I also called CQ using PSK63 several times but again no responses.
So, I was reduced to using common PSk31 for digital QSOs. There was plenty of PSK31 on 40 and 20, surprisingly little on 80 (at night). PSK31 drove me nuts though because it is very slow, suffers when a strong station parks nearby, and many operators had the annoying habit of adding "please copy" to their exchange PLUS the repeating back of the exchange I sent them! It made for frustrating contest operations. Seems to me that Olivia, PSK63 and Domino would have been much more effective.
