Thanks all for the comments. I used an MFJ model many years ago 
which had a button (I believe) and one could select a shift change. 
And I agree with the excellent software programmers around that 
an "autodetect" feature would be a hit. I looked at Sky Sweeper and 
I think it's a little pricy although one never knows until it is 
tried.
