Just to make it clear to everyone, the ability of reverse operation is not something new with software based digital modes but has been possible for some time, even with hardware equipment ... by flipping the reverse switch or issuing a software command to the hardware after we got to the TU's in the box with AEA and Kantronics, et al. Many of the "old" stuff had a reverse position at least for the demodulator. The ST-5 had a reverse switch and that goes back to at least 1973. And the Mainline STL FSK demodulator had one a decade earlier than that. I have used some of the old tube TU's (borrowed) when I first got on RTTY. Of course the main interface was my Model 15:)
The main problem with operating reverse would be that your dial frequency would be different from most other operators. If you wanted to work EU or other stations using low and/or reversed tones, you would have used this feature.
