How do you set the mike gain? I am using a standard el cheapo electret type mike plugged into the computer mike input, but can only guess where the level should be.
I wish we would pick one frequency and sideband for each band for basic contacts that we could monitor. This is what the SSTV folks do and if they need more space they can just move up 3 KHz or so. I seem to be getting RF into my ICOM 756 Pro 2 rig when I am using my dipole on 75 meters so can not operate on that band at this time, but could listen. I can run 50 watts on 40 meters without triggering the ALC. Should we run this mode similar to other digital modes where you adjust the audio input levels to be just low enough with a given RF drive setting to not trigger ALC? 73, Rick, KV9U expeditionradio wrote: >--- In [email protected], "Dave Corio" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > >> Unfortunately, that still puts it out of reach of us Generals. >> >> > >Try one of these: > Digital Voice 80 meters > 3991 kHz USB Primary > 3986 kHz USB Alternate > >73---Bonnie KQ6XA > >. > > > > > > >Need a Digital mode QSO?
