Wonderful...how about a test of the mode on PathSim? Walt/K5YFW

Cesco forewarned us that it is a rough beta with a codec that has poor audio. We were in QSO for about 30 minutes on 40M at around 1530 local time 1930 UTC. We were able to use the DRMDV 99% of the time without dropping audio. We are 335 air miles apart, I was using a 20M dipole simply tuned up for 40m! I am not sure what Tony was using on 40M. Tony dropped power progressively (using a QRP watt meter) down to 1 watt. I was able to decode his digital signal 100% at 1 watt, a SNR of 5.5 (S1 on my Kenwood Ts440 meter). Tony then went to 500 milliwatts and I lost him altogether, SNR went from 5.5 to zero suddenly. I then did the same , adjusted my gain gradually down to 5 watts out on my power meter, it may not be very accurate. Tony was able to copy me 100% at 5 watts with an SNR between 5-6. I did not attempt to go below 5 watts. Of course, the audio is not great with this codec but it does pass the low SNR test. Andy. K3UK Need a Digital mode QSO?
