No- that how DX gets confused. It works confusedly. If you are a DX station, you need to control what the others are doing. Saying UP is not the way to do it. Saying UP 3 TO 10 is. Or better yet: UP 3, DOWN 2, DOWN 3, UP 1, etc. That keeps the whole gang of callers from being on one exact freq, or from being 40 KC strung up and down the band. The calling stations actually have to listen to see where to transmit. Also if one says K5 AGAIN? and then responds to a VE3xxx, he has opened himself up to every Tom Dick and Jesus that decides to call anytime they feel like it.
