Each year, around New Year, I publish the annual Digitalradio "best of
the year" list.  It has always been purely my own opinion.  This year,
I'm open to suggestions.  Not a poll, but I will listen to
suggestions.

Last year's awards are listed below.  Note one award from last year
"Software to watch in 2006:  MultiPSK.  Improving and I suspect more
things will come from this product in 2006" .  

 The RS ID feature that Patrick added has proved how justified 
this 'award" was.

Best supported digital relatedsoftware........ DXLab (suite)

Biggest disappointment of the year SCAMP.....  Where did it go?

The "he must need something to do with his life " award :....   Nick

(MixW) .  So many modes, always adding new tricks, how does he have
time to do other things?

Best digital modes interface..... = Microkeyer by Microham

Most promise for 2006 =  Softrock 40

Most under used = ..... ALE.  So much potential here guys, jump on 
the bandwagon!

Best Contests =...... TARA, they keep the small fish contests going 
very well.

Experimenters Award:  Bubba Net.....  These folks will try anything 
once.
I wonder if they made a 2 tone Olivia contact yet?

Why Bother Award = ....  A tie between HF packet (get rid of it 
already! )
and the 80M RTTY NTS Net (..er dudes, twenty repeats of the messages
should tell you that RTTY is not robust enough for traffic handling .

Not Grumpy Award =  Nick UT2UZ of MixW.....  Replies politely , and
personally, to people like me that lose their registration DLL!

Needs inventing in 2006-2007: ...... HF APRS with Olivia.

Where is the Soviet Union When you need it:.....   MixW.  We need a
centralized distribution plan for this software!

Most Missed Digital Ham: ..... Larry W0ETC, SK.  A great guy and 
digital
contest Elmer.

Only Good Thing About Katrina......... =  Knocked AA5AU of the air 
for a few
weeks and gave others a chance in RTTY tests.

The "YEAH !!!!!" Award: ........  Sirius Satellite Radio for adding 
BBC Radio
One and CBC Radio One to their digital line-up
