Comments welcome.
To encourage digital mode activity, especially activity with some of
the experimental modes, the digitalradio group has suggested calling
frequencies as follows :
20 Meters: Primary : 14.078.4 (14077.4 and 1000 Hz AF
frequency)
Secondary: 14.076.4 (14075.4 and 1000 Hz AF
frequency)
80 Meters : Primary : 3583 (3582 dial)
Secondary: 3584.5
Other Bands : To Be Determined.
These are frequencies where the membership can initiate CQ calls and
initiate QSOs. By calling CQ is a focused frequency range it is hoped
that our "noise" will stir more activity and interest in the digital
modes. This is for ALL digital modes except SSTV and digital voice.
Give 'em all a try!
Suggested guidelines:
Listen first for at least 60 seconds, call QRL.
Maintain control of your station at all times. Unattended operations
are discouraged.
If the Primary calling frequency is occupied , the secondary
frequency is recommended. Setting your digital modes software
waterfall to a 3 KHz display should allow you to visually and audibly
monitor both frequencies.
Moving off the calling frequency is not necessary but if you
voluntarily elect to move off the frequency , it is recommended that
you move up/down in increments of 1500 Hz.
