Commander lets you specify connection parameters for up to 4
transceivers, and select among them either automatically based on band
or manually via a mouse click.
To enable the automatic routing of soundcard audio input and output to
the currently-selected transceiver, Commander can be configured to
place a transceiver selection code on two of a specified parallel
port's data bits. With some simple external logic driving a double-pole
relay for each transceiver (or equivalent commercial device),
WinWarbler and MultiPSK users can quickly switch transceivers from a
single PC. The MixW-DXLab gateway may also provide this capability to
MixW users, but I'll defer its author Rick N2AMG on the degree to which
MixW relies on Commander for transceiver control with the gateway
running.
