Hi, Bob. I did a lot of work on it this weekend, and apparently either the cable or the Rascal was defective. Another cable in the same position worked fine, and another sound card showed the same results. Buxcomm is sending me a new unit, so I expect it'll be working fine when I get it!

*Subject:* [digitalradio] Audio attenuation using Rascal

Has anyone else using a Buxcomm Rascal noticed a lot of attenuation on
the receive audio? When I installed the Rascal, I immediately had to
increase the volume level on the sound card to almost maximum, and had
to change from "Line In" to "Mic In" in order for the applications to
    "hear" the rig.

I'm using an IC-746 (non-Pro), and the sound card is a Creative Labs
Audigy. The Rascal otherwise performs flawlessly. Curious to see if
anyone else has come across this.

    Tnx es 73
