Canada has always used the segment from 7050 to 7100 for SSB. The national calling frequency ( and emcomm frequency) is 7055.
There was a contest on and 40 was open into south america and the Carribean so there were a flock of stations working the contest and listening up into the US SSB band. Recently I have noticed a lot of people using those wide bandwidth devices that produce voice signals. microphones are what they are called, around 7070-75 and 14070-77. I did not use to hear them so often. It is not just USA hams. so did something else change other than the recent USA band changes ? last night 7070-7075 was full of them. -- Andy K3UK Skype Me : callto://andyobrien73 www.obriensweb.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message.
