The convention is to send BOTH call signs until both have been
"rogered" (careful, "rogered" can mean something else in the UK ;)
and then the RO RRR and 73 are sent WITHOUT a callsign.  The potential
problem is that the contact can accidentally be considered a "good"
one but the RRR came from someone working another station.  It's
confusing but one thing that will help is to look at the DF.  If you
got a response, with yours/his callsigns, and the DF was -55 and then
got a simple "RO" with a DF of +150, chances are that you get a false
RO, an RO from the wrong station.

ok I need help. why is it that I can see the messages, and message
numbers, time sent etc etc

but I can't see any callsigns? Can copy RO and 73 etc etc at -29db on
the waterfall and understand how those tones work.

other people have been seeing me yet i can't copy a
callsign.................. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
