Carl;
Lucky you, the PacComm PTC-1 is still supported by Airmail in Winlink.
The pinouts for the 5 Pin DIN plug are the same as the corresponding
pins on the 8 pin DIN plugs on the SCS PTC-IIex and their other TNCs.
You can find that on the SCS site, and the complete manual for the
Z80 based PTC-I. <http://www.scs-ptc.com/download/Z80_PTC_eng.pdf>
That version of firmware that you have is the latest, and last
version, but works fine.
Run Airmail and select the PTC-I in TNC type. You should be OK.
HOWEVER, there are some WL2K stations that are NOT accepting P1
connects, others that only allow at certain times, others certain
frequencies. Much of that info is in the Text Content of the
Frequency Lists provided with Airmail. Best is to try - because ALL
initial PMBO connects start in P1 - then they'll tell you if they
don't support P1!
Good Luck, it does work well.

P.S. The PacComm PTC-I does outperform MOST of the other P1 TNC's due
to it's true ARQ memory system.
