[digitalradio] two receivers to one sound card at same time?

I am toying with the  idea of running audio from a multi-band radio to
a single soundcard.  The audio from the rig can be configured so that
audio from two bands can be sent to the soundcard and the audio levels
varied with a "left-right" stereo balance control.  Is anyone else
doing this?  I wonder how the various digital software applications
handle the two audio sources
