FYI, from Patrick at the Multipsk group. This has some intriguing possibilities for ALE email and other things.
Andy K3UK ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Patrick Lindecker <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: May 23, 2007 6:49 PM Subject: [multipsk] Remote decoding To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hello to all, For information, today, we have, with Andy (K3UK) and Cesco (HB9TLK), done a curious experience. I generated a PSK31 signal to a specific IQ software from Cesco. This IQ soft transformed the signal in data stream (11025 samples/second, 8 bits) and sent it through Internet to the specific Cesco IP, port 3020. Then the Cesco router sent the data stream to the Cesco PC. The received data stream was taken into account by the Multidem TCP/IP link of Multipsk (local IP 127.0.0.1 port 3020) and the PSK31 signal was decoded. So Cesco was able to decode my PSK31 signal through his Multipsk, remotly. Andy did the same not with IQ, but with his SdR and his software. He sends a receive PSK31 signal. It works well too. 73 Patrick
