Unfortunately the current premier packet data application, Airmail 2000, doesn't support KISS and the D710 supports only KISS for binary data. There may be some other data mode I don't know of -- but we can be fairly certain the 710 doesn't do Kantronics host mode which is what Airmail uses for normal TNC communications.
