We always carried a 50 gal drum of solar flux on the side of the tanks to put 
in the smoke generator when we were out of ground wave range on the old tank 
frequencies in the 6 meter mil bands.

If I looked around, I'm sure I still have a 5 gallon bucket of the good MIL 
Spec stuff if anyone wants it.
