This mode used as ALE is much superior to PC-ALE since you can determine if the path is there by sounding, and then do a connect to pass
traffic using the same software. The other station can be unattended in this process. ALE141 also works well in exactly the same manner, no difference in operation, just a little faster throughput, and a little less sensitivity than ALE400 John VE5MU
