Interesting point about long winded macros. I have seen this this happen on
slow throughput modes like THOR4.

A first time QSO via mode like THOR4, brings a surprise to the operator when
an attempt is made use lengthy macros. The lengthy brag tape is the best as
I can microwave a frozen bagel before this macro finishes.

In one innocent THOR4 QSO, the operator stated that is was first and last
time he would ever use THOR4 again because his macros were too slow. He
immediately signed, '73 de <callsign> SK". I was disappointed as I never
got to witness his SK macro. Somehow, I feel cheated.

Ham radio is a funny place.
