At present it uses the Windows default soundcard, although this may change in future releases. So, you will need to open Control Panel, then open Sounds and Audio Devices and click on the Audio tab. There you will find a pair of drop down menus called Sound playback and Sound recording. Select the card you want to use, click Apply and close Sounds and Audio Devices and run RIO again. Now it should be using the sound card you selected. Personally I'm not keen on this system but the author (Sorry, I've not latched onto the authors name and I guess it was mentioned in an early post and I didn't pick up on it) did post a message here, when he uploaded V1.6.2 with the COM port additions, that selectable sound cards would come in a later release.
