This individual will be the primary point of contact for customers as they engage the BI group. He or she will work closely with the two BI supervisors and staff to prepare work estimates and present them back to the customers. This individual must be very knowledgeable in BI technology, standards and best practices. This will enable him / her to consult and recommend the most appropriate technology solutions to satisfy customer requirements. He or she will be expected to take the lead in the formation of a BI steering committee and to chair the committee once formed. He or she will also assist in the development of future BI strategy. This role will report directly to the Manager of Enterprise Data Services. Other functions include: Track status of all active BI work and provide status updates back to customers Provide consulting in BI technologies, standards and best practices Provide business analysis to assist projects Form and chair BI steering committee, develop and publish charter, determine membership, set agendas and publish minutes. Take action on steering committee recommendations Provide high level coordination of cross-functional BI activities (i.e. ETL and reporting) Requirements: Strong customer service and verbal communication skills Excellent written communication skills Familiarity with BI concepts such as ETL, data warehousing, data management, data architecture and end-user reporting Excellent time management and organizational skills Basic Qualifications: BA or BS with at least eight (8) years of overall IT industry experience. At least five (5) years of relevant BI experience and at least two (2) years experience in a customer-facing role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
