Consulting, design and deployment of an enterprise-wide route/switch and wireless network and security infrastructure for a state-wide public sector client in California. This position can be located anywhere in California. The candidate will work extensively on-site with the client. Travel throughout California will be required. Working time will be divided approximately as follows: 70% remote commute or office based, 30% on-site with the client. The candidate will work as part of a larger AT&T Consulting/Callisma team, largely compiled of CCIE-level engineers, tasked with evaluation of the existing route/switch, wireless, and security infrastructure. Consulting Engineer will work in collaboration with campuses to design and implement a new route/switch, wireless, and security infrastructure at campus locations state-wide in California. The consultant will work directly with client staff, end-user organizations and vendors in a politically complex environment. Candidate must possess strong LAN Switching and Routing hands on skills with Cisco based equipment, as well as strong knowledge of security appliances with Juniper Networks and/or Cisco products. Candidates must have hands-on experience with firewall and IDS deployment as well as the integration of security elements into large scale networks, and/or Cisco 6500/4500/3750-based IP networks. Candidates should possess a broad level of networking knowledge, including OSPF/EIGRP routing, VTP, and all spanning tree protocol variants, fully-redundant 6500-based core switches with Sup720s, hybrid and native OS. Experience with VRF-lite or MPLS is a plus. Candidate should possess a broad level of security knowledge including aspects of business assurance, secure operations management, electronic business security, security policies, focused intrusion detection, secure extranets, VPNs and identity assurance services.
