Hours per week: 40 Primary Skill: 2nd Level Support --Project Comments-- Storage administration (backup monitoring, recoveries, direct user support) --Requisition Comments-- This position will be part of a group that provides storage services to offices in all of our operating territories. These services are delivered seven days per week. The customer is building a flexible team to handle this workload each day of the week and has three second level storage support positions that report to a Lead Worker for work related issues. This is a rotating shift based environment. Each shift consists of specific duties. These positions will rotate through weekday, Saturday, and Sunday shift assignments. The Saturday and Sunday shifts will be 4 hours in length when this assignment starts and may grow into a full 8 hour days, hours will likely be 8:00am - 12:00noon to start. Contractor will work every third weekend. The total hours per week is expected to be 40. The Monday - Friday hours will likely be 8:00am - 5:00pm. --Required skills-- 1. Accuracy 2. Strong Analytical Skills In addition, candidates should have strong experience performing three or more of the following skills to be considered: 1. Oracle backup verification 2. TSM backup verification 3. Commvault backup verification 4. Performing backups 5. Performing data recoveries 6. Troubleshooting user issues with desktop backup 7. Troubleshooting issues with Agency server backups 8. Responding to HP Openview equipment alerts 9. Information warehouse backup verifications 10. Proceduralized capacity monitoring 11. Proceduralized reporting 12. Client consulting on data usage issues 13. Work order processing 14. Client communication regarding service orders 15. Coordinating client testing 16. Vendor tape media mailing 17. Optical platter handling and cleaning 18. Initializing tape media systems include the following technologies: Windows Unix z/OS (mainframe) DB2 UDB Oracle EMC Symmetrix, Clariion, Centera McData storage network switches IBM 35xx tape and VTS STK LTO tape Commvault, IBM TSM, and Ultrabac backup software --Desired skills-- 1.
