Windows/HP Openview Systems Administrator Location: Southern California Duration 6 Months+ Rate Open Seeking a Windows/HP Openview Systems Administrator for a 6 month contract opportunity. Qualified candidates will have the following qualifications: Required: * 3-5 years experience working as an HP Openview Administrator * 5+ years experience with large enterprise IT systems running Windows Server 2000/2003 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. * Most possess deep understanding of the core functionality of all the HP OpenView suite of products and how they interoperate. * Systems include HP OpenView (OVOW), Network Node Manager (NNM), OpenView for Internet Services (OVIS) and Performance Insight (OVPI). Desired: * Windows and Linux server experience * Network communication protocols: SNMP, RPC and HTTPS. * UNIX/Linux shell scripting: bash, sh. * VB and Perl Scripting. * HP Performance Management and HP reporter Job Scope: * Ensure proper operation of the HP OpenView systems running on a Windows Server platform. This includes applying patches and performing software upgrades when needed. * Transfer customer request into work monitoring solutions in order to enhance business functionality. * Develop and design reports for upper management * Leverage AlarmPoint alerting software to optimize event escalation * Develop and/or enhance OpenView policies and procedures. * Develop and maintain effective backup and Disaster Recovery solutions for all OpenView systems. * Ensure the ongoing operation of the HP OpenView function * Strong project management skills and experience in managing medium to large-scale enterprise-wide projects, with a proven ability to multi-task Thanks Neeraj IDC Technologies Inc.
