*Title : Weblogic Portal Developer* *Location: Philadelphia , PA * *Duration: Long Term* We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to develop an architecturally sound, modular and maintainable component-driven application built on top of the Oracle/BEA WebLogic technology stack. In this role, the Senior Software Developer will provide day to day, hands-on technical expertise for the definition, design, development and test of new features and functionality provided through the *WebLogic portal *. The Senior Software Developer will also assist in resolving technical incidents by performing problem management and root cause analysis. She/he must also help build and maintain systems and services that are stable, available efficient and effective. Technical Requirements * BS in Computer Science or related field of study * 5 years experience with BEA WebLogic technologies including BEA WebLogic Server and *WebLogic Portal* 9.2 or 10 * Experience with Java, JavaScript, AJAX , HTML * Experience with JDBC / RDBMS technologies (Oracle, MS SQL Server). * Knowledge of CruiseControl a plus * Excellent technical diagnostic skills * Experience and strong understanding of performance topics such as memory management, utilization, threading, transactions. Specific Responsibilities by Project Phase: Definition Phase * Participate in scope review / high level effort estimating sessions * Participate in the review and validation of the project plan for each release * Drive the logical grouping of scope items from a technical implementation standpoint Design * Participate in collaborative design sessions with business leads, BAs, QA resources and architect(s). * Provide updated estimates for completion of tech design after functional walk-through * Schedule and manage design reviews for technical designs * Complete technical design work that's directly assigned Development * Provide updated development estimates after technical design reviews * Develop high quality, modular and maintainable software based on the technical designs * Achieving delivery milestones once a project plan is agreed upon * Identify and escalate issues that impede progress of delivery - resources constraints, requirement gaps, technical issues, etc. Implementation and Testing cycles * Participate in the labeling, build and validation process for each release * Work with QA resources to address issues arising during unit, integration and system test cycles. * Coordinate troubleshooting and interaction with technical teams for addressing design and code-related issues * Coordinate code delivery and deployment across all applicable environments (DEV, QA, PILOT, Production).
