*I have just come across the following requirement with one of my client. *

*Title: Jr. technical writer*

*Location Walnutcreek , CA*

*Duration: 3 months*

*3 - 4 years experience*

 The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in
English, Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent
industry technical writing experience. A minimum of 2 year IT change
management experience with a solid understanding of IT concepts and
fundamentals is required. Strong process (and associated controls)
development, documentation, and implementation skills with prior Information
Technology process implementation experience is required. Experience in
healthcare related industry with understanding of business drivers and
dynamics is preferred. ITIL Foundation Certification or experience
implementing ITIL processes in a corporate IT environment would be an asset.

*Specific Responsibilities Include:
*? Analyze documentation needs and usage in the context of IT Change
Management Process.
? Assist to develop and implement a formal ?check listing? process for IT
infrastructure changes.
? Participate in developing technical check lists for at least 75 repeatable
infrastructure changes.
? Participate in designing and implementing a ?credentialing and
privileging? process expanding from the ?check listing? process.

? Identify and fix documentation errors, including outdated content, broken
links and missing content.
? Help produce reports out of the ?check listing? process and the
?credentialing and privileging? process.
? Fulfill documentation needs in the context of IT Change Management Process
and within the operation needs of Enterprise Operations and Enterprise
Engineering.

*Skills Needed:
*? Excellent written and verbal communications skills
? Ability to ensure the appropriate level of documentation by selecting and
synthesizing pertinent information to meet change management process needs.
? Ability to analyze and apply problem-solving techniques to troubleshooting
problems with documentation.
? Ability to edit content for readability.
? Ability to test and validate content for usability.
? Ability to manage and work independently on multiple concurrent
assignments, of various sizes and topics, simultaneously in a fast-paced
environment, and to carry out assignments on time.
? Working knowledge of MS Office, Lotus Notes, and graphic software
applications.
? Writing samples are required.
