We are looking for a Data Warehouse Developer for 3 months contract for our
client located in Richardson, TX.
Requirements:
Direct responsibility for the design, maintenance, and support of Data
Warehouse Systems. The developer requires a high level of analytical and
creative skills and an in-depth knowledge of database structure, data
warehouse configuration, methodology, design, and modeling. The developer's
typical duties includes but not limited to designing and building data
warehouses, designing ETL architectures and procedures, performing
analysis, SQL scripting, tuning and optimization on very large
(multi-terabyte) databases, managing capacity planning and performance
analysis, working with application developers to design and develop
database objects and structures according to project specifications,
addressing data quality issues with users, vendors and management, analyz
Qualifications:
1) Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and 4 years experience in Data
Warehouse delivery or 6 years in Data Warehouse delivery;
2) 4 years hands-on experience in a developer role utilizing DataStage and
UNIX with 2+ years experience developing with Parallel Extender/Enterprise
Edition;
3) 3+ years experience with UNIX operating system with extensive experience
in scripting;
4) 3 years SQL experience with emphasis on performance tuning;
5) Experience in ETL application architecture and design of large scale ETL
solutions integrating multiple source systems;
6) demonstrated implementation of Data Warehouse best practices and
standards;
7) demonstrated verbal and written technical communication skills;
8) demonstrated experience with AIX/UNIX and mainframe pla
Preference will be given to candidates who have the following skills and/or
experience:
1) DataStage 7.1 or above (Parallel Extender/Enterprise Edition);
2) Health Insurance;
3) Zena or Zeke Scheduling tools;
4) Understanding of multiple database systems (Teradata, DB2, SQL Server,
Oracle);
5) Metadata Management;
6) CVS source code control;
