This is for my direct client opening for Network Engineer - Laurel, MD. This is a 12 Months contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE. *Job Description: Details of the project:* -The Senior Data Network Engineer is responsible for the architecture and implementation of the network communications. -Utilizing their extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN systems. -The individual in this position will take on responsibilities in the areas of administration, engineering, architecture and project management. -Will be managing and assisting in the day-to-day monitoring of the network infrastructure, provide troubleshooting and support to ensure accurate and up to date technical documentation. -Individual will also define, design, and implement internal and external network solutions and manage technical projects assigned to them. -The individual will be responsible for the tasks related to complex network solutions in data and voice convergence, B2B network connectivity, microwave network systems and maintenance, and remote access. -Additionally working with the IT Security, the individual will architect and implement required network security infrastructure. -The individual will stay abreast of knowledge in the industry trends and best practices in order to develop and support modern network architecture with a focus on speed, function, security and cost savings. -The individual in this role relies heavily on their experience and independent judgment to develop solutions for difficult troubleshooting, repair and maintenance problems where complete documentation may not be available. -The Contractor will approach assignments with considerable creativity and innovation.
