*Job Summary:

The DMS Application Support Engineer is responsible for learning the
Vignette IDM software on the job while trouble shooting a variety of
problems that can occur with scanned images, attaching of meta data, image
quality checking, archival into the storage systems and subsequent retrieval
of the scanned images through a variety of interfaces. This position works
directly with internal customers to understand the incident and to provide
high quality feedback and timely resolution of production and development
problems.
You will be required to trouble shoot, where in a complex networked process,
a given problem mostly like occurred and why -- based on indirect and direct
observation of symptoms and behaviors. This will include, but not be limited
to, Unix Servers, Wintel Servers, IBM message queues, internal information
broker software product, scanning servers, NAS/SAN storage frames and the
LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
After correctly identifying the problem cause, you will be required to
correct or assist in the solution, to solve the problem.
Various other projects will capitalize on your ability to troubleshoot
problems as described above, but instead to apply those capabilities to the
implementation of new scanning projects.
